OUR STORY
Nunattiaq was founded in 2023 by Jaylon Atagoota, who began his career in construction as a general labourer before advancing to a carpenter apprentice working across Nunavut and the Northwest Territories. Through hands-on experience, he developed a strong foundation in Northern construction and a clear vision to build something of his own.
That vision became Nunattiaq Construction—a company focused not only on delivering quality projects, but on creating opportunities for Inuit workers across the territory.

Jaylon began his construction career in 2020 and quickly advanced through hands-on work across Nunavut and the Northwest Territories. In 2023, he founded Nunattiaq Construction with a vision to deliver projects and create opportunities for Inuit workers. He continues to lead the company while remaining closely connected to the work on site.
